In his first year at Hackensack Meridian Palisades Medical Center, Eddie built relationships that brought 19 new physicians and nurses into the Clinician Engagement Program, leading to $100,000 in new revenue from the program. He doubled the number of donors and added 20+ new prospects with major gift capacity through community engagement at Palisades. Eddie gives back by serving on the board of directors at The OUT Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that removes barriers that block LGBTQ+ individuals' access to participation in fitness, health, and wellness. He earned a master’s degree from New York University with a concentration in Healthcare Advancement in Nonprofits.
I began volunteering at a local emergency room, learned about development, and shortly after worked full-time for a nonprofit organization.
I enjoy building relationships with people to help them find a meaningful way to give back, and it feels good to connect people with others in support of health and wellness.
Earning my master's degree from an individualized program in healthcare advancement was unique, and it allowed me to learn about two fields I care about the most—public health and public service.
My greatest passion is to help people with their health, whether it be finding a healthcare provider, disease-specific education, or sharing their stories to improve the patient experience. It's always at the forefront of my mind.
Volunteer! Try different areas of healthcare (research, education, children's, etc.), and always be curious to learn about the business of philanthropy. There is more to our profession than fundraising.
I was an Emergency Medical Technician for the state of New Jersey.
