Aimee possesses a leadership style that is level-headed, steadfast, and based heavily on collaboration and bringing people to the table. Aimee has the innate ability to think ahead and proactively, making many of our processes ironclad in ways that we had never thought of or didn't exist. Aimee holds people accountable in how she collaborates, but also makes space for individuals to do the work as needed. Aimee's commitment to philanthropy is such that she understands the weight of decisions that it takes to commit to supporting causes, and she treats every donor/funder with great respect and care that is beyond her years. She embodies stewardship without it needing to be on her job description, and I have learned a lot from her approach to serving our donor community.
I had two decades of higher education philanthropy experience and moved to healthcare philanthropy during the pandemic to make a greater impact in the community where help was needed the most.
I've always been interested in healthcare, and my career path took me to philanthropy operations right after high school. During the pandemic, when I saw how the world and health system were severely impacted, I wanted to do what I could with my skills and experience to help people get access to care and improve health outcomes.
I've had amazing mentors and leaders who helped me build skills and expertise in my career. The crucial steps I took were to accept all opportunities presented to me to become a leader and mentor to positively impact others in their philanthropy careers.
I am passionate about assessing processes, recommending the changes needed to improve, and taking part in driving those enhancements. Healthcare, technology, laws, and best practices change over time, so the more time spent on optimizing data and processes to stay on top of the changes, the better. As someone working in systems and data on the back end, I find it highly rewarding when I can measure improvements and learn about the impact that it has in our community through philanthropy.
