Nafisa served as the campaign lead to raise $2 million for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Sturgeon Community Hospital.
She was the catalyst and leads the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation’s IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access) committee.
Nafisa is deeply engaged in her community, including service on the board of the Cultural Connections Institute, The Learning Exchange (CCI-LEX) and volunteering in support of several candidates for office.
She is the media spokesperson for the Stollery’s Mighty Millions Lottery, inspiring Albertans to support innovation in children’s health through the lottery.
