An undergraduate degree (master’s degree preferred); five to seven years of professional experience (ideally in a healthcare or social service setting), including some at a senior level in resource development management, with an emphasis on major gift cultivation

Demonstrated success in designing and implementing strategies to reach new donor audiences and developing new fundraising programs; knowledge of and experience in multiple resource development techniques; experience in managing volunteers

Superior verbal and written communications skills; a high-level of interpersonal and relationship-building skills, organizational skills and energy, attention to detail, and an ability to carry out multiple concurrent tasks; self-starter

TASC is expanding with a newly-created position: Director of Philanthropy
As a way to better meet the growing need for our services, TASC is initiating a new resource development program to support our social justice mission. This position is available for a dynamic, committed individual to become an integral part of TASC.
The Director of Philanthropy will be responsible for establishing, organizing and leading all aspects of TASC’s resource development program. This individual will collaborate closely with TASC’s board of directors, executive team, and statewide offices. This position offers an excellent opportunity to a qualified professional who appreciates the art and science of fundraising.
The emphasis of this position will be to oversee the implementation of a comprehensive array of fundraising strategies including direct mail, annual giving, major gifts, planned gifts, events and corporate/foundation giving. We will count on you to help with donor prospect identification, cultivation and solicitation. Additional responsibilities include providing training, coaching and mentoring to board, staff and volunteers.

Headquartered in Chicago, with multiple locations around the state, TASC also provides research, public policy advocacy, training, and consultation.
